Philly Neighborhood Bike Works ride with the Youth!
About this event
Members of Major Taylor and encouraged to come out and support the Youth of Neighborhood Bikeworks as they commemorate The Major's birthday.
PhillyMTCC supports the Neighborhood Bikeworks throughout the year with donations of bicycles and equipment. In the past year, through the tireless efforts of Kenny Lawson and Keswick Cycle, over 50 bicycles have been donated.
Additionally, in support of this event the club will be presenting several boxes of helmets for the youth.
The ride is slow paced as we ride along with the youth. They will stop at strategic points to make mini presentations about the watershed in Fairmount Park.
At the midpoint on North George's Hill, there will be hot chocolate and snacks. Members of Major Taylor will make a brief presentation about our club, Major Taylor history and contribution to the sport of cycling.
Make sure you dress in Winter gear.
