DESCRIPTION

Break out your gravel bikes, mountain bikes or put knobby tires on your road bikes and let us head up the Lehigh Valley Gorge from Jim Thorpe.

Jim Thorpe is nestled by the Lehigh River.   The quaint downtown has a bike shop, several local eateries and hotels for those interested in staying overnight.

The packed gravel trail follows the Lehigh Valley River and is peaceful and scenic all along the way.

Enjoy the beautiful fall foliage as we pedal along the 2 percent grade by the Lehigh River towards the little town of White Haven.

You may ride all the way up to White Haven have refreshments at the Pizza shop then ride back a total of 51 miles round trip.

You may consider riding 31 miles round trip instead.  Ride 15.5 miles up to the Rockport midpoint and then back.

Both routes are up and back with scenic views of the river, fall foliage and many mini waterfalls along the way.

This is a no drop ride.
