Create email Campaign with Mail Chimp

  1. Log into Mail Chimp
  2. Select Campaign
  3. Select the "Create Campaign" button a the top right of the screen
    1. Enter the Campaign name ( -
      WP Strava ERROR 401 Unauthorized - See full error by adding

      to wp-config.php
      ).
    2. Change the Campaign Type to "Regular",
    3. Then select the "Create" button at the bottom left of  the window.       
  4. When Mail Chip asks for the Recipient lists pick "Ride Notice from the drop down list. Then select the "Next Step Setup" button a the bottom right of the screen.
  5. On the Campaign Info page:
    1. Copy the "Campaign name" content into the "Email subject"
    2. Replace the "From name" with your name
    3. Replace the "From email address" with your email
    4. Check the "Personalize the "To" field"
    5. Select the "Next step template" button on the bottom right of the page
  6. Select the "Saved template" tab at the top of the page.
    1. Select the "Ride Notice (Ride with GPS)" template
    2. Press the "Next Step Design" button at the bottom right of the page
  7. Select the box with Click for Ride Details & Downloads  

    1. select that area in editing section on the right side of the page
    2. Click the link icon above the text in the editing section 
    3. Copy paste the web address from the Ride with GPS event to the "Web Address (URL) box.
    4. For now, delete this text: "Register by clicking Here"
    5. Save and Close the Editing box (grey button)
  8. Select the [Copy /paste ride description from Ride with GPS] box
    1. In the editing box on the right copy paste the ride description from Ride with GPS from the date to the separation line.
    2. Save and Close the Editing box (grey button)
    3. Select the next button on the bottom right of the screen.
